Description:
Patented sample collection device incorporating
a specially designed, single-use sample collector with medical grade
foam head, and a powered handle, with timer. The
device is designed to allow for transfer of sample to media such as the
BioDisk, or for direct punching / cutting of a sample disk from the foam
head. The device is barcoded for positive ID.
Uses:
While the VibraSwab has obvious application in the collection of human
buccal samples (typical swab time of 15 seconds), the device has many
other areas of potential application, including in-field casework, in
animal ID, and diagnostics generally. In the case of the collection of
human buccal samples, the use of the VibraSwab provides a comfortable,
non-intrusive and easy way to collect relatively high concentrations of
sample, every time.
All foam used in VibraSwabs has been authorized for oral use.

Overall length of the single-use sample collector is approx. 80mm.
Size of the foam head is 21mm x 8 x 2mm.
Powered handle is rechargeable and supplied
with powerpack.
